"Untitled", also known as "Red Dot", "Red Bar", "The Color Red", or "🔴", is a 1998 song by the band Pearl Jam with music and lyrics written solely by Jack Irons. It appeared on their 1998 album Yield.
Analysis[]
The song is practically an instumental written by Jack Irons. It has no meaning to the song, as the lyrics are just nonsense. It is not very accurate, but the mention of war can be a sign of anti-war policy that has always been a flag of the band. Some people think it is an instrumental, because apparently Eddie Vedder isn't singing the lyrics, and Stone Gossard, because he sings on Mankind.
Music & Lyrics[]
We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. We're all crazy. We're all crazy at war. [cricket noise]
Trivia[]
The song ends with a looped recording of a cricket noise. The sound actually comes from a McDonald's Happy Meal toy cricket (Cri-Kee) promoting the Disney movie Mulan. (**This note about Mulan is factually inaccurate. Mulan was released as a film in June of 1998. Yield was released February of 1998, song was first tracked as early as 1995) source
